మహా శివరాత్రి చాంద్రమాన నెల లెక్కింపు ప్రకారం మాఘమాసం కృష్ణ పక్ష చతుర్దశి రోజున వస్తుంది. హిందువుల పండుగలలో మహాశివరాత్రి ప్రశస్తమైనది. ప్రతీ ఏటా మాఘ బహుళ చతుర్దశి నాడు చంద్రుడు శివుని జన్మ నక్షత్రమైన ఆరుద్ర యుక్తుడైనప్పుడు వస్తుంది. శివుడు ఈ రోజే లింగాకారంగా ఆవిర్భవించాడని శివపురాణంలో ఉంది. చాంద్రమాన నెల లెక్క ప్రకారం, ఈ రోజు గ్రెగేరియన్ క్యాలెండర్లో ఫిబ్రవరి లేదా మార్చి నెలలో వస్తుంది. హిందువుల క్యాలెండర్ నెలలో మాఘ మాసం కృష్ణ పక్ష చతుర్దశి. సంవత్సరంలో పన్నెండు శివరాత్రులలో మహా శివరాత్రి అత్యంత పవిత్రమైనదిగా భావింపబడుతుంది.పండుగ ప్రధానంగా బిల్వ ఆకులు శివుడికి, సమర్పణల ద్వారా జరుపుకుంటారు. ఒక రోజంతా ఉపవాసం, రాత్రి అంతా జాగరణ చేసారు. ఇది శివ భక్తులకు అత్యంత పర్వదినం. ఈనాడు శివభక్తులు తెల్లవారుజామున లేచి, స్నానం చేసి, పూజలు చేసి, ఉపవాసం ఉండి రాత్రి అంతా జాగరణము చేసి మరునాడు భోజనం చేస్తారు శైవులు ధరించే భస్మము/విభూతి తయారుచేయటానికి ఈనాడు పవిత్రమైనదని భావిస్తారు. రోజు అంతా భక్తులు “ఓం నమః శివాయ”, శివ యొక్క పవిత్ర మంత్రం పఠిస్తారు.తపస్సు, యోగ, ధ్యానం వాటి అభ్యాసంతో క్రమంగా, వేగంగా జీవితం యొక్క అత్యధికంగా మంచిని చేరటానికి. ముక్తి పొందడానికి నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఈ రోజు, ఉత్తర ధ్రువం లోని గ్రహ స్థానాలు అంతా బలమైనవిగా ఉత్ప్రేరకాలు చర్యతో ఒక వ్యక్తి ఎక్కువ సులభంగా అతని లేదా ఆమె ఆధ్యాత్మిక శక్తి పెంచడానికి సహాయంగా ఉంటాయి. మహా శివరాత్రి ఆంధ్ర ప్రదేశ్, కర్నాటక, కేరళ, తమిళనాడు అన్ని దేవాలయాలు విస్తృతంగా జరుపుకుంటారు. శివ (మొదటి) ఆది గురువుగా భావిస్తారు. శివుడు నుండి యోగ సంప్రదాయం ఉద్భవించింది. ఈ పర్వదినం నాడు మన పీటమ్ లో శివ శక్తి సహితా మహా కాలభైరవ రుద్ర హోమం నిర్వహిస్తునం. ఈ హోమం లో ఫాలుపంచుకోవాలి అంటే కిందన వునా బటన్ ని క్లిక్ చేయండి.
